Hello - I'm new to this forum, so I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been doing my family tree research for quite a few years, I'm based in Birmingham, and am descended from Timothy Litherland (1777 - 1847) a market gardener who had moved to Lichfield by 1834 when he appears in trades journal, as gardener, address St John St. In 1799 he married Hannah Stockley in Birmingham (not sure about if that was a day-trip or a longer-term thing). His son Henry Litherland (1807 - 1887) did various jobs including a servant at Chorley Rectory in 1841, gardener and publican of the Royal Oak Inn in Lichfield. He moved to Birmingham by 1871 and died in 1887 in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. His son John Price Litherland (1850 - 1917) was my g great grandfather and worked for GWR in Birmingham. His daughter Ellen Isobel (1887 -1942) my g gran married jeweller Joseph Rosenberg and had my gran Joan Litherland Rosenberg in 1920.
If any of this sounds familiar to anyone, or if anyone has any further info about my ancestors, or even to say hi, please feel free. And likewise, if anyone wishes any info I may have, please let me know.
Regards
Craig

Craiguito -
Welcome to the forums.
If you have had time to scan down the Open Forum you will probably have found there are several threads regarding the Litherland family already - one of Appleby's original families to judge by the Parish Registers, but I'm not sure there are any still living in the village (according to the census returns). They seemed to have scatter far and wide, moving from village to village away from Appleby.
The majority of the other people that posted regarding the Litherland family posted as "guests" which means there is no way of directly contacting them - you just have to hope that at some time they log back onto the forums to check and see your post.
As a registered member you will at least see when a new post is added to the forums, which makes checking a little easier (at least until the next time you clear your cookies).

But a bit of information from my, or rather my wife's, family tree.
Very (VERY) distantly related by marriage, there is a Timothy Litherland, born Shuttington (1795), died Lichfield (1869).
Not your Timothy, but a chance that they were related given the name, dates and locations.

By the way my email address is rjordanX@Xuwclub.net if you wish to contact me. Ray
EDIT - ADMIN - It is best not to publish valid email addresses on these forums as they can be easily picked up by web crawlers. I have put a capital X either side of the @ sign. Just remove them to form the valid address.
