I'm related to the Moulds of your village. I can trace up to the year of 1806 with a Hugh Mould, married to a Sarah. I've been given some other Moulds also of Appleby dating back to Joseph Mould who died in your village in 1762 married to a Mary. I'm fasinated by your webb site to the info on the Moulds whom I suspect maybe my relatives, can anyone help me with any info?

Janet: the good news is that Appleby Parish registers are full of Moulds right from the start in 1572. The bad news of course is that it's a huge task to sort them out. Someone may have done it already and to find out you could post your interests in the Leicestershire & Rutland FHS magazine (you may have to join). Otherwise you need a professional searcher to do it for you. The Leicestershire Record Office (who hold the registers and have them on microfiche) would find one. There are links to the LRFHS and the LRO from this web-site. Or perhaps you have lots of time??! Richard
