Welcome to Measham Medical Unit.
New Clinical Computer System
We are currently installing a new clinical system called SystmOne (it is spelt without an e!).
We are changing systems as we believe that this will bring great benefits to our patients. SystmOne is based on the principle of “one patient, one record” where patients’ health information is available in many care settings including out of hours.
The change will bring disruption which we hope to minimise as much as we can.
Online services will be affected and patients who currently use online services to order medications and make appointments will need access codes once the new system has gone live on 19th October. Photo id will be required to issue new access codes. We are currently working on processes to make this transition as easy as possible and we will keep patients up-to-date via our website, using Facebook and notices in the surgery.
Between 10th October and 19th October the Unit will remain open but services will be reduced. We will not be doing routine blood tests, reviewing chronic disease, doing minor operations, ear syringing or gynaecological appointments - we would ask that you only come to the surgery or make an appointment if it is absolutely essential.
Up until 18th October we will be making future appointments as usual. On October 19th, 20th and 21st our appointment lines will be closed and we will not be making any new appointments whilst we transfer all existing appointments from our current system to SystmOne and continue to train on the new system.
During 19th, 20th and 21st October there will be open access surgeries for those patients who need to be seen on the day and we will still be dealing with medical emergencies.
We hope to keep disruption to a minimum and keep our patients up-to-date via our website, our Facebook page and notices in the surgery as well as the Measham Messenger.
The Unit will be closed on the following afternoons for staff training from 1.00pm on:
Thursday 15th September 2016 Wednesday 12th October 2016
Thursday 17th November 2016 Wednesday 18th January 2017
Thursday 9th February 2017 Wednesday 15th March 2017
