I am trying to find any of the Stevens family descendants. Henry Stevens is listed on the 1891 census in Appleby Magna, he was born in Belton-in-Rutland. I am particularly interested to find out if anyone knows what happened to his sister, Emily Stevens, she was listed on the Belton census in 1861 but not 1871, there is no registration of a death or marriage in Belton. She was aged 14 in 1861.

Sheila -
Just done a quick search, Henry features in all the Appleby census returns from 1881 through to 1901. But no sign of the family in the village in the 1911 census, except a Betsy Stevens shown as a visitor. Henry is listed as a widower with 4 young children (but no wife evident) on the 1881 census, but is married by 1891 - possibly to Eliza Sculthorpe, his housekeeper in 1881.
But no sign of Emily.
