Anyone able to connect a Leslie H A N C O C K S to his family? Born in Appleby Magna 1910. All I can find are his grandparents William & Kate H a n c o c k s - all listed on the 1911 census as living at Overtown. Nothing to identify his birth date, baptism, parents, marriage or death. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
Is there a memorial in Appleby to commemorate the lives of villagers who died in WW1 & WW2? I know that Ernest John(Jack) H a n c o c k s died in 1918 Nord, France & is buried in Pommereuil British Cemetery. E J H is living in Overtown according to 1901 & 1911 census.

Chris, many thanks for your interest in Leslie Hancocks. I will look in depth at the information you have given. This family's roots began in Leamington Priors and they have had quite an eventful journey throughout their lives to bring them to 'Overtown'. I will be able to search more thoroughly in a couple of weeks and I hope to be able to tie in photos.
